Draw out malice from my heart

Draw out malice from my heart
Our talk in this gathering is about a great and blessed call that was narrated on the authority of our Noble Prophet, peace be upon him, that gathered great good, great demands, great benefits, and multiple interests for the servant in this world and the next. Our noble Prophet, peace be upon him, was given by Allah words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning and his supplications, were distinguished by their completeness.

Abi Hurairah narrated that the prophet, peace be upon him, said: "I have been commissioned with words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning; I have been helped by terror, and while I was asleep I was brought the keys of the treasures of the earth which were placed in my hand." Sahih Al Bukhari.

Explanation: Allah, Glory be to Him, favored His Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him, over all other prophets and messengers, and singled him out with many characteristics.
Including what is in this hadith, where Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, reports that the prophet, peace be upon him, said: I was sent, that is: "I have been commissioned with words which are concise but comprehensive in meaning, and I have been helped by terror; that is: fear and dread, that would fall into the hearts of his enemies for a month's march, and while I was asleep I was brought the keys of the treasures of the earth which were placed in my hand; meaning: What will be opened to his nation after him from the conquests like the treasures of Khosrau and Caesar.

Then, at the same time, his supplications are infallible supplications that do not have any error, because they are among the supplications of the infallible, peace and blessings be upon him, they are right and they were said by the prophet himself.
While you notice that some people often ask about some supplications, are they valid or not? Are they correct or not? Are they appropriate or not? Are they wrong ?
While it is known that this is a proven supplication on the authority of the Prophet, peace be upon him, this question is raised, why? Because they are infallible supplications, in addition to being complete, they are also infallible, with no error or slippage.
A third matter, which is that it included the highest demands, the noblest of purposes, and the noblest goals in this world and the hereafter, with few words and brief words, but it contained all goodness and all blessings. For this reason, the scholars affirm that the Muslim should memorize some supplications that were narrated from the Prophet, whenever he is able to do so, and supplicates Allah Almighty with them, and he should repeat these supplications and insist on Allah Almighty.

Among these comprehensive supplications, we choose this hadith:
O lord,Help me and do not help others against me, support me and do not support others against me, plan for me and do not plan against me, guide me and make guidance easy for me, and help me against those who wrong me. O Lord! Make me grateful to You, make me remember You much, make me fearful of You, obedient to You, humble before You and turning to You. O Lord! Accept my repentance and wash away my sins, answer my supplication, guide my heart, make my tongue speak the truth, make my proof firm and remove resentment from my heart
Sahih Ibn Majah.

Explanation: To supplicate and humiliate Allah Almighty with all that befits Himself of the keys to relieving distress. In it, the servant shows his supplication and submission to Allah Almighty; Knowing that He, Glory be to Him, is the One who is able to answer his supplications.
In this hadith, Ibn Abbas said that the Prophet, peace be upon him said in his supplication: My Lord, help me” i.e.: I ask you for help and success in obeying you and worshiping you in the most perfect manner that satisfies you on my behalf.
And I ask you for help in all matters of religion, this world, and the hereafter, and in encountering enemies, grant me your help and success. Help me against myself which commands to do evil, help me against Satan so that he should not have access to me, help me on remembrance of you, thanking you and worshiping you well.
In it, a request for help from Allah, Blessed and Exalted be He, alone is the one who helps servants, and the conciliator is the one whom Allah grants success. The matter is in the hands of Allah, and there is no might or power except with Allah, the Exalted, the Great.
“Do not help against me” and do not allow your help to those who prevent me from obeying you, to the soul that commands evil, and to the devils of mankind and the jinn.
This includes the supplication of Allah Almighty that he does not help him who intends him harm, or intends him evil, or intends by him any kind of harm; it includes not helping the self that is commanding evil, and not helping everyone who wants evil. And do not help against me” i.e. turn away from me the evil of the wicked and the harm of the aggressors, and do not help against me.

"
And help me.” This is a request for support in all cases, and it was said: Its meaning is: Help me over myself, that commands evil, for it is my worst enemy.
As the Almighty said, "Indeed, the soul is a persistent enjoiner of evil unless my Lord has mercy." Yusuf: 53. The prophet, peace be upon him, might have meant all types, as he did not allocate a specific type. "And do not help against me." That is to say: Do not make me defeated, so that you dominate over me one of your creatures, and do not help the soul that is inclined to do evil against me, so I follow whims and forsake guidance. This is asking Allah Almighty for protection and safety from enemies.

"Plot for me." Plotting is deception, and it is from Allah that he will bring about his afflictionon his enemies so that they do not feel in the midst of their deception. It is an attribute of perfection in His right, the Most High. Bring down your deception with those who wish me evil and provide me with the right trick and the best way to ward off the plot of my enemy, so that I may be safe from their plots and their evil.
"And do not plot against me." i.e., do not guide my enemy to the path of his repelling me from himself, and do not treat me with my bad intentions, for I was deceived and overstepped the bounds where I do not feel, and I perish.
Cunning is one of the actual and restricted attributes of Allah Almighty that occur by His will. We use this attribute for Allah for the sake of reciprocity and recompense for the one who plots against Allah Almighty and his guardians, Allah said: "But they plan, and Allāh plans. And Allāh is the best of planners." This is asking Allah to plot for him, to manage for him from the hidden causes of success by which he will be safe and by which he will be saved from the deception and treachery of the enemies. And do not plan against me; that is, prepare for me one of the hidden reasons for success by which I will be saved, and do not plot against me.

Then he asked Allah Almighty for help and facilitation for very great demands, all of which are from worshiping Allah and achieving humiliation for Him.
"Guide me." That is, guide me and reconcile me with guidance from You, and I will not deviate from it until I meet you.
Guidance is of two types - guidance and indication. - Guidance, conciliation and stabilization.
When the servant asks Allah Almighty for guidance, he should invoke these meanings, and say: Guide me to the paths of guidance and knowledge, and I will not deviate from them until I meet you.
This question included success in doing good deeds, beneficial knowledge, and avoiding taboos.
Make guidance easy for me.” i.e., make it easy for me to follow guidance and follow its path, and prepare for me the means of good, so that I will not be burdened with obedience, nor distracted from worship.
Help me against the one who transgresses against me, meaning: and help me against the one who oppresses me and transgresses against me, and this is a specification after the generalities in his first saying “And help me and do not defeat me.”

Sheikh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said: “this is a just supplication not a supplication of an aggressor.”
Confidence of victory over the one who wrongfully assaulted and oppressed; Because that brings joy to the heart, tranquility of the soul, peace of mind from protecting enemies, and confidence in the ability and victory of Allah Almighty.

Then he asked Allah Almighty for help and facilitation for very great demands, all of which are from worshiping Allah and achieving humiliation for Him.

After asking Allah to do that which would benefit him in his dealings and his conduct with his creation, he proceeded to beseech Allah Almighty for that which would benefit him and bring him closer, and set his affairs straight with his worship of his Lord Almighty.
These demands are the greatest and most important to him, as evidenced by the exaggerated formulas.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said, “My Lord, make me thankful to You,” that is, thankful in ease and in adversity, in word and deed, in secret and in public. "To you"; I give you thanks; because you are the creator and giver of blessings, we ask Allah to grant us thanks. because by thanking, grace lasts.
Allah said: "So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me."

Gratitude for grace preserves existing blessings, and brings back lost blessings, for if a blessing is thanked, it exists, and if it is ungrateful, it flees.
Allah said: "If you give thanks I will give you more, but if you are thankless verily My punishment is indeed severe".
So let us be keen to thank our Lord for His bounties and praise - the Exalted be He - for His bounty and giving.
We ask Him, Glory be to Him, to make us grateful to His blessings, and to protect us from exchanging a blessing for disbelief. This leads to punishment and resentment.

And his saying “thank you” refers to gratitude in the heart as an acknowledgment of blessings, expresses gratitude with the tongue, as praise for the Benefactor, gratitude with the limbs by using them in obedience. This is one of the meanings of gratitude, and it is included in his saying thankful. Allah said:
"Work, O family of David, in gratitude."
Work to thank Allah for what He has bestowed upon you in this world and in religion. It indicates that gratitude is in action as well as in word and intent. This is part of thanking Allah Almighty for His blessings.
The Muslim is always asking his Lord, may He be exalted, to help him in thanking Him, the Most High. For had it not been for Allah ’s success for His servant and His help, gratitude would not have occurred, and therefore it was initiated in the correct Sunnah to seek aid from Allah for thanking Him, the Most High.
Mu'adh Ibn Jabal said: the prophet held my hand and said, "O Mu'adh, By Allah, I love you and advise you not to miss supplicating after every Salat (prayer) saying: O Allah, help me remember You, expressing gratitude to You and worship You in the best manner". Sahih Abi Dawood.

"Let me in remembrance of you always" i.e.: remembrance of you frequently at all times and in all situations, and in his question, the Most High, grant success to remembrance, because it is the best of deeds.
Jabir Ibn Abdullah said:
"The best remembrance is there is no god but Allah, and the best supplication is praise be to Allah"
Sahih Atermizi.

The frequent mentioning of Allah is one of the great demands, so he asked Allah Almighty to make him mention Allah a lot.
The scholars said: A person to be in a frequent remembrance of Allah, he has to be persistent in the restricted remembrances and takes care of them on a daily basis; Morning remembrances, evening remembrances, sleep remembrances, entry remembrances, exit remembrances, sleep remembrances, food remembrances, and other remembrances, which the scholars call the work of the day and the night.
If he is persistent in that, takes care of them and they are on his tongue all the time then he is one of those who remember Allah a lot.
"Let me fear you a lot", meaning: to be afraid of you in all my circumstances, this results avoiding what angers Allah, avoiding sins, and being close to Allah Almighty
It is the fruit of good knowledge of Allah, as Allah Almighty said, “Only those of His servants fear Allah

"

“let me obedient to You,” to be obedient, is to be submissive, to be complied to your orders, and to keep away from your prohibitions.
To be obedient to Allah all the time, and also to the prophet.

"Let me humble to you"; this means that the heart is humiliated before Allah Almighty, in reverence and humility.
"and humble themselves (in repentance and obedience) before their Lord". Hud 23.
"give glad tidings to the humble, Who, when Allāh is mentioned, their hearts are fearful, and [to] the patient over what has afflicted them, and the establishers of prayer and those who spend from what We have provided them." Al Hajj 34,35.
The humble one: is the humiliated one who is humiliated to Allah, obeying Him, and getting closer to Him.

"

"Accept my repentance"
"Al Awah" is the one who makes a lot of supplications and weeping for Allah the Mighty and Sublime.
"Al Moneeb", The one who repents often and returns to Allah from sins.

"And return [in repentance] to your Lord"..
Repentance: is to return to Allah Almighty by abandoning disobedience and turning to obedience. "Al Moneeb", is the one who is coming to Allah by doing worship and avoiding disobedience and sins and what Allah Almighty and His servants have forbidden.

"Lord, accept my repentance." Make it right with its terms and manners, and accept it from me. The servant needs two kinds of repentance: The first: Allah grants the servant to repent to him; This success in repentance is repentance. Allah said: "Then, He forgave them (accepted their repentance), that they might beg for His pardon [repent (unto Him)]". So the slave’s repentance involves asking Allah first to guide him to repentance and to make him repentant, otherwise how many people are immersed in disobedience and sins, but he is deprived that Allah Almighty guides him to repentance. So the slave needs the permission of Allah for him to repent, needs Allah to allow him to repent and to repent to him by accepting his repentance.
So when you said before that, “Make me a thankful one, a remembrance of you, repentant.” to the end of this, this is your repentance to Allah. So, it is appropriate to ask Allah to accept your repentance, your return to him. You say: Oh Allah, accept my repentance.
Allah said: "And it is He who accepts the repentance of His servants."
Allah is the "Tawab", whose name “Al-Tawab” indicates two things: conciliation to repentance, and acceptance of repentance.
Guiding the slave to repentance is before the slave’s repentance, and the acceptance of this repentance is after the slave’s repentance.
Hence, every repentance of the slave is preceded by repentance from Allah and is also followed by repentance from Allah. The first repentance from Allah is guiding to repentance and the second is acceptance.

"Forgive my sins". blot out my guilt and iniquity; move my sins completely. "And respond to my supplications".

This includes that you ask Allah to respond to your supplications, because not all the supplications are responded to (answered).
There are things that prevent him from accepting all supplications.
For this supplication that is answered is the one in which the conditions are fulfilled and there are no obstacles. Otherwise, the Sunnah came with conditions for the acceptance of the supplication and also obstacles that prevent the acceptance of the supplication.
Abi Huraira Narrated that the prophet said: "One of you will be answered as long as he is not in a hurry, he says: I prayed and I was not answered." Al Bukhari.
In this hadith there is one of the etiquettes of supplication: that the servant adheres to the request in his supplication and does not despair of being answered; because this shows submission, surrender and showing lack to Allah

Abi Hurairah narrated that the prophet said:
The supplication of the servant is granted in case he does not supplicate for sin or for severing the ties of blood, or he does not become impatient. It was said: Allah's Messenger, what does:" If he does not grow impatient" imply? He said: That he should say like this: I supplicated and I supplicated but I did not find it being responded. and then he becomes frustrated and abandons supplication Sahih Moslem

Abu Huraira that the prophet said: " a person who travels widely, his hair dishevelled and covered with dust. He lifts his hand towards the sky (and thus makes the supplication):" O Lord,0 Lord," whereas his diet is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, and his clothes are unlawful and his nourishment is unlawful. How can then his supplication be accepted." Sahih Moslem.

This prevents the answer to supplication. So, when you say “answer my supplication” i.e., make my supplication an answered supplication that fulfills what is the acceptance of supplication and the non-rejection of supplication

Make my proof firm, in this world, against your enemies with irrefutable pretext, fix me on the bright path, on the truth, on the huda. Make my proof firm by the good statement of the truth, by rejecting falsehood, and by perishing delusion, by the call to Allah, by promotion of virtue and prevention of vice with the clear evidences. And make my proof firm in the hereafter when the two angels in the grave ask me
You will not have these great deeds unless Allah grant them to you.

Then, the prophet, peace be upon him, he concluded his supplication by saying: “Guide my heart,” meaning: Guide it to your knowledge and knowledge of the truth, guidance, and the straight path.
"Make my tongue speaks the truth" He combines a supplication for the tongue and the heart: the tongue by speaking the truth, and the heart by guidance, and guide my heart.
That is why a lot in supplications combines the tongue and the heart: Shaddad Ibn Aws narrated that the prophet said: “I ask you a sound heart and an honest tongue". Albani.

Asking guidance is for the heart, and asking truth is for the tongue, so that a person’s statement be correct and sound, without error or deviation.
The call that relates to the heart is guidance. To guide his heart to goodness and to reconcile to that which includes righteousness, prosperity and happiness in this world and the hereafter.

"

Make my tongue speaks the truth.” so that it only speaks the truth, and says nothing but the truth, the correct, sound and upright speech. The prophet, peace be upon him, said:
"Whoever believes in Allah and the other day, let him say good or become silent". Sahih Al Bukhari.
So what helps us is to ask Allah to make our tongues say the truth or else this tongue will be an evil thing.
Abi Sa'id Al Khodary narrated that the prophet said:
"When the son of Adam wakes up in the morning, all of his body parts bow to the tongue and say: 'Fear Allah regarding us, we are only part of you. If you are straight we are straight and if you are crooked we are crooked." Sahih Atermizi.

"Take malice out of my heart"; Get out of my heart: hatred, rancor, envy and fraud.
This is very important; Breasts are not free of malice, so ask Allah Almighty to remove the malice from your chest.
Hatred, rancor, envy and fraud are heart diseases, so how beautiful it is for a person to insist on Allah, Glory be to Him, that He let go the malice of his chest so that his chest is healthy toward the Muslims.
In the hadith: The supplication that includes the causes of righteousness and happiness in this world and the hereafter.
